Another Cassie Update!!

We are also deciding to do obedience with Cassie, since she is so wild. Sasha is so good, so she doesn't need obedience. For example, she doesn't jump and isn't crazy. We missed the first class with Cassie so we got homework. :( I have to teach her heel and stay. She can do sit and down, we taught her those when she was a little puppy and the class was at PetSmart, not at Cloud 9, where we do agility.

Cassie Agility Update 3

Hey guys!
Today I had Cassie's agility lesson. It was awesome!!!!!! They introduced the ramp (where you go up and down this ramp like thing, hard to explain sorry!) We also did more advanced tunnel work, the dogs were sent to the tunnel from a farther distance. When we did everything together, Cassie ran sooooo fast, I couldn't keep up! Need to practice the mile more........The homework this time is to introduce the jump. The homework last time that was due today (we sadly didn't do it) was too send the dog around a "base" and have them come back. It's so adorable. Also, we had to go from down to sit. Cassie used to have problems, but now she's a pro.
We call her our "baby genius"!

Cassie's agility #2

On Wednesday, Cassie had another agility lesson. She did really well! She went through the tunnel no problem, even going to it from a farther distance. She also went on the tettor totter, and she refused last time! Well, I guess she was just scared. Now it's time to practice sending her around cones! That should be pretty hard.

This is Cassie swimming earlier this summer. She is in full action!

Yesterday we were practicing for Cassie's agility classes that are on Wednesdays. Last class, she was afraid of everything. So, we made a teetor totter and she did that fine unlike in class! Ugh. We also made boards that went up. She was slipping so my mom had to hold her, for her to climb up. She's so funny.
She's gotten much better at targetting! That's where you put a white disc and say, "touch!" The dog is supposed to touch it with the nose or with the foot. Cassie sorta leaps and pounces to the target. It's adorable! I don't know how we got her to do it with the nose.
We haven't gotten to jumping over things in that class. We do tunnels though. They've gotten really long now, Cassie needs more training I think.
Well, we have class on Wednesday, so no more Cassie news until then! (unless she does someone annoying or funny non-agility related)
